    Terms of Service

    Effective date: 2026-05-21

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DeepSignal, the AI-curated AI-news reader available at ai-deep-signal.com (the “Service”). “DeepSignal”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to the independent project that operates the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. The Service

DeepSignal aggregates publicly available AI news from third-party sources, generates short AI summaries and a Signal Score for each article, and ships a daily brief to subscribers. The Service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial reading. Some features (e.g. saving articles, managing subscriptions) require a free account.

    2. Accounts

You may sign in with GitHub, Google, or a one-time email magic link. You are responsible for keeping your authentication credentials secure and for any activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

    3. Acceptable use

    You agree not to:

    • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise programmatically extract content from the Service at a rate or volume that materially disrupts it, or beyond what a normal human reader would access.
    • Bypass, probe, or disable any security, rate-limit, or access control on the Service.
    • Use the Service to send spam, harass other users, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
    • Resell, republish, or distribute substantial portions of the Service's output (including AI summaries and the Daily Brief) without our prior written consent.
    • Use the Service to develop a competing product or to train any AI / machine-learning model on data scraped from it.
    • Misrepresent your identity, impersonate any person, or submit fraudulent feedback.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate any account or IP found to be in breach of this section.

    4. Content rights

DeepSignal's own contributions — AI summaries, the Signal Score, the Daily Brief, the site design, the editorial taxonomy, and the underlying prompts — are owned by DeepSignal and made available to you for personal reading under these Terms. You may quote and share short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source page on ai-deep-signal.com.

The underlying news articles, blog posts, research papers, and social-media posts referenced by the Service remain the property of their original publishers and authors. Every card on DeepSignal links back to the original source. DeepSignal does not host or republish full articles. Our handling of these third-party works is documented in the Source Attribution Policy, including how publishers can request removal.

If you are a rights-holder and believe content on the Service infringes your rights, email contact@ai-deep-signal.com with the URL and a description of the issue. We aim to act on good-faith takedown requests within 48 hours.

    5. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit through the feedback form or by email are non-confidential and may be used by DeepSignal without restriction or compensation.

    6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. DeepSignal makes no warranty, express or implied, about the Service's availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

AI summaries are generated by large language models and are best-effort. They may contain factual errors, miss nuance, or misrepresent the original article. The Signal Score is an editorial judgement, not a measure of truth or importance. Nothing on the Service is investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice. Always read the original source before acting on any information.

    7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeepSignal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from or in connection with your use of the Service. DeepSignal's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed AUD 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

    8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DeepSignal from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

    9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account by emailing contact@ai-deep-signal.com. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. The clauses that by their nature should survive termination (rights, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.

    10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “effective date” at the top of the page and, for material changes, post a notice on the Service for at least 14 days. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

    11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia, except where mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.

    12. Contact

Questions about these Terms? Email contact@ai-deep-signal.com or use the Contact page.
